The Toothpaste Millionaire by Jean Merrill

Everyone LOVED The Genius Files: Mission Unstoppable by Dan Gutman.  We are all anxiously awaiting book two in the series and have some interesting predictions for the next adventure.  The next book club book pick is The Toothpaste Millionaire by Jean Merrill.  We will meet on Monday, April 11th for what will likely be our last book club of the year.  Therefore, let's all be sure to get our hands on a copy of this book so that we can ALL participate.  Copies are on order in the media center but this book is also widely available at your local public library.  Happy Reading!

The Genius Files: Mission Unstoppable by Dan Gutman

First of all, I must say that Hatchet brought about an intriguing discussion in book club.  It was fun to hear all the different opinions and thoughts about Brian's survival story.  What a great book to ponder!  We all enjoyed Dan Gutman's visit SO much that we've decided to read his newest book, The Genius Files: Mission Unstoppable, which we know will prove to be an exciting adventure with Coke and Pepsi McDonald.  Although most of us have seen the book trailer, click below to view it again.  Our discussion will take place on Monday, March 7th during lunch.  Copies of the book are in the media center so please come see us if you still need a copy.  Happy Reading!

Hatchet by Gary Paulsen

We had a FUN discussion about No Talking by Andrew Clements.  Our next book club choice is Hatchet by Gary Paulsen.  This an award winning survival story that we are all excited to read and discuss!  Our next meeting will be on Monday, January 31st (we have a long break due to winter break).  There are TONS of copies of this book at the public libraries (I checked) so please feel free to get a copy at your local public library.  The media center does have a couple of copies and we will order a few more.  This will be a great read over the winter break....Enjoy!

No Talking by Andrew Clements

We had a great Zoobreak discussion!  Most of us really enjoyed the book.  Our next pick is No Talking by Andrew Clements.  This is a great story about a group of 5th graders who do an interesting social experiment...they refuse to talk!  To find out how this experiment affects their lives, you must read No Talking by Andrew Clements.  It's good!  We will meet on Monday, December 6th during lunch. 

Zoobreak by Gordon Korman!

Our next book club will take place on Monday, October 18th at lunch time.  We will be discussing Zoobreak by Gordon Korman.  This is a fun and quirky mystery that you are sure to enjoy.  Please bring your lunch and dessert will be provided.  Feel free to post your comments below or come record your thoughts @ the desk of Mrs. Brown.
